福井神社

祭神は福井藩第16代藩主松平春嶽を祀る。境内の恒道神社には、橋本左内、中根雪江、鈴木主税を祀る。
昭和18年に創建され、後に日本最後の別格官幣社に指定された。当時は総檜造りの社殿であったが創建後間もなく戦災で焼失、昭和32年には福井大学工学部の設計により、総コンクリート造りという独特の様式で再建された。
It was founded in 1943 and was later designated as Japan's last special shrine. At that time, the shrine was made of Japanese cypress, but it was burnt down in the war damage shortly after its construction, and in 1957 it was rebuilt in a unique style of made entirely of concrete by the design of the Faculty of Engineering of the University of Fukui.
