A great place to experience soba (buckwheat noodle) making, visit sake breweries, and take a walk around Mt. Asuwa and Yokokan Garden

You can visit sightseeing spots, enjoy nature and even experience making soba noodles.

When making soba at the Echizen Soba Club, you will be carefully instructed by a trained soba-maker, so even beginners can have a try. You can even eat the soba you have made on the spot.

You can also visit breweries making local sake. The delicious rice and water, as well as the skill, experience, and passion of each brewer, create a variety of sake that will captivate sake lovers, as well as introduce new tastes to those who are unfamiliar with sake.

You can take a leisurely stroll around the ruins of Fukui Castle, the Yokokan Garden and Mt. Asuwa. It will only take two to three hours to cover the ground, and the stillness will make you forget that you are in the city.

If you have a little bit of free time, why not take a walk around Fukui Station, and visit some of the locations mentioned above!
